New beach discovered.

Just five minutes cycle from the centre of town is this lovely beach next to Marselisborg forest. Absolutely stunning. We were sitting having our lunch looking at the bad storm coming in when we were treated to a porpoise playing about five or six metres from the beach, behind where Daisy was playing.

Here we go.

Not so much Harvey Nics. More Debenhams.

We’ve always positioned Magasin - one of Aarhus’ two big department stores - as very upmarket. I even think the word ‘Selfridges’ has been used on one occasion.
Then Sarah started spotting the occasional product with a Debenhams sticker on it.
Then I noticed some Jasper Conran jumpers.
Turns out that our beloved Magasin is a subsidiary of Debenhams.
I won’t pretend this hasn’t taken the edge off the shine.
Even though there’s nothing wrong with Debenhams.

View from the bus stop before the clocks go back.

Daisy and I are waiting for Bus 18 every morning on the main street down from our apartment. It’s pretty dark at 715am.
This is what we’re looking at as we wait.

First decent ad I’ve seen over here.

It could be that I’m missing a lot due to not speaking Danish but you can kind of tell when there’s an idea present.
I was intrigued by this one, which is part of a campaign under the theme ‘Life is bitter’.
The headline says: ‘This could have been an ad for sexy underwear. But we bought the poster site first.'
Nice one.

Need a new handbag?
